In tropical countries, this fruit is available year around. Papaya can be used as ingredient of rujak (fruit salad), pick-me-up, gelatin, jam, cake and frozen fruit. In Java, Indonesia papaya flowers can be used as ingredients of candy and its young leaves can be used as foods or jamu. Karpaina, a type of alkaloid, which is available in papaya can be used to reduce heart disorder, anti amoeba medicine and laxative.
