Dry and itchy scalp clearly makes you feel uncomfortable. You think about to scratch your scalp many times even in public. Consuming healthy foods that contain healthy protein and fat can make our skins remain healthy. Besides our diet, doing external treatment is also important. You can try to make your own homemade hair masks to treat the itchy and dry scalp:
1. Coconut oil hair mask
You only need one ingredient to make this DIY hair mask: coconut oil. You can apply it directly on your scalp (whether your hair is dry or wet). And, then wrap your head with a warm towel and wait for 15-20 minutes. After that wash your hair.
2. Honey and olive oil hair mask
Olive oil has good nutrition contents for your skin and it is good to use for hair treatment. While honey will moisten scalp. Mix 100cc of pure honey with 50 cc of olive oil. After you mix them, heat them a bit. Apply the mask on your scalp and wrap your head with plastic bag and wait for 20-30 minutes. Then, wash your hair.
3. Avocado and banana hair mask
Banana contains kalium that can strengthen and treat broken hair. While avocado can moisten, maintains and helps fix branched hairs. Put 1/2 avocado with one ripe banana on a blender and mix them. Apply the mask on your scalp and wrap your head with a towel. Wait for 15-20 minutes and then, wash your hair.
You can also add a few drops of rosemary essential oil on the three DIY hair masks. Rosemary can accelerate hair growth and has anti-bacterial content that can prevent dandruff.
